NEW SOUTH WALES: The nation’s largest Aboriginal land rights organisation has backed calls for the Tasmanian government to establish a comprehensive land rights regime – including a community fund – to assist Aboriginal people in that state towards self-determination.

Peru passes historic land rights laws

PERU: The country’s congress has voted unanimously to pass an “historic” new land rights law which gives Indigenous Peruvians the right to free, prior and informed consent over operations on their lands.
