Working within our busy Crewing Department and reporting directly to the Training & Recruitment Manager Offshore Marine Services is currently seeking applicants for the role of Training & Indigenous Program Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Administration & monitoring of maritime industry trainee’s
o Recruitment of industry entrants in line with identified requirements.
o Academic program enrollment
o Administration of government subsidy applications.
o Identification and administration of Trainee sea-time requirements
o Maintaining trainee personal files and certification in line with company and statutory requirements.
o Monitoring & reporting of Trainee progress through their training program.
o Provide monthly reports to the management on the number and status of the trainees
o Monitoring & reporting of Trainee progress through their training program.
· Coordination of Indigenous Participation Program
o Close liaison with client representatives to support indigenous participation commitments.
o Providing vocational guidance and support to indigenous participants
o Reporting on participants and program progress.
· Training Program Administration
o Ongoing and proactive identification of training requirements
o Booking of short course programs & associated delegate requirements
o Processing of invoices and expense claims
· Quality Assurance
o Work within and support the aims of the OMS quality management system
o Involvement within internal auditing programs.
· Other Duties
o Support the Crewing Department as required (including leave cover if required)
Preferred Candidate
•Strong administration, organisational and communication skills
•Ability to work to tight deadlines
•Background in training administration or similar role
•Understanding of maritime and offshore training & certification requirements
•Previous experience in indigenous participation programs preferred.
