Reporting to the Network Risk Engineer in the Distribution Division, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the risk management activities in the Operational Asset Management Branch. Working from the Jandakot (Prinsep Rd) depot, you’ll have a keen interest in risk management and quality assurance and preferably come from an operational background which will enable you to have a strong understanding of field practices and requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role will comprise of the following, however not limited to:
•Supporting risk identification along with capturing risks in the Risk Register (network risk & corporate risk)
•Assisting risk owners in implementing risk treatment strategies where needed
•Assisting with the risk status report for the Distribution, Operational Asset Management Branch as well as other adhoc reports
•Assist with the maintenance of risk management documentation
•Develop relationships with other risk management professionals within the business, in support of a consistent approach and sharing of best practice
As the successful applicant you’ll have a strong operational background and have worked in a similar role or be looking to move to an office based environment. An Engineering Diploma is considered desirable along with a Certificate 3 in Risk Management. Your diligent approach to work will enable you to scrutinise data and conduct data analysis to assess technical risks whilst supporting the corporate risk framework. It will be considered advantageous to have some exposure to the provision of work in the electricity, gas or water industries.
