The Role
This role offers the successful candidate the chance to build, nourish and maintain a communications bridge between our Cracow Gold Mine and the communities in which the mine operates. The following are some of the key requirements of the role:
•Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders
•Implement the Community Engagement Strategy and initiatives within this strategy
•Develop and address key community development programs in line with Evolution priorities and objectives
•Monitor and collate data for the evaluation of the social performance of the site
•Promote understanding and awareness of cross cultural issues and cultural heritage obligations at site
•Monitor and maintain the key stakeholder agreements on site
•Represent and promote Evolution in community forums and events.
•Address and record grievances and community complaints
•Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification, demonstrated experience in a similar role, a strong community alignment, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a drive and enthusiasm for building a very positive relationship between Evolution and the communities in which it operates.
Cracow Operations
Cracow Gold Operations are located in central Queensland, Australia, approximately 4 kilometers from the township of Cracow and approximately 500 kilometers northwest of the city of Brisbane. Cracow employs around 230 people, including contractors. Some people live locally but most FIFO (fly in and out) from south-east Queensland coastal areas.
