NEW SOUTH WALES: NSW Aboriginal affairs minister Victor Dominello announced a new Taskforce dedicated to Aboriginal affairs, at a press conference at NSW Parliament House yesterday.
TASK FORCE: It is another introduced body implemented by government where those appointed to the Task Force are appointment by the cluster of Aboriginal organisations within NSW and representative’s are nominated by and appointment without the imput of selection by nomination from the Aboriginal communities. Has is those who are representives appointed by the cluster of organisations are not seen to come into the communities to meet with the people/community on matters of concern deals directly with them. Further to do is the ongoing issue where representatives employed, appointed or self appointment by application themselves do not work with the people residing within the communities. The Aboriginal communities are over representative in many area’s, where ignorance on issues impacting on communities involving Aboriginal organisations and appointed representative’s are overlooked to the point the decission on crucial issues having dealings on Aboriginal Affairs never come’s from the commnity and stays with those appointed by. The other matter with those appointed or self appointed by application do have tendancy to be wearing ‘To Many Hats’ and can be over bearing.
